While many sectors of the fashion industry are struggling, the bridal market is enjoying a period of healthy growth, particularly - but perhaps not surprisingly - at the top end. Reports from the British Bridal Exhibition, Europe's largest weddingwear show which is staged twice-yearly in Harrogate, suggest that even deep recession will not dampen a bride's enthusiasm to have the best - and look her best - on her big day. March 2009: BBEH Pre-show Release

Europe's largest bridalwear exhibition, BBEH, opens its doors on Sunday 8 March. Spread over four halls of the Harrogate Exhibition Centre and three hotels (The St George, the Old Swan and the Majestic), this is the exhibition that kick-starts the year's buying season. Bridalwear retailers from across the UK will be joined by buyers from as far afield as Japan and the USA, in a bid to be the first to pick up new, trend-setting suppliers and do business with some of the biggest names in the industry. September 2008: BBEH Review

The British Bridal Exhibition in Harrogate (BBEH) took place last week and did not disappoint showcasing the stunning Spring / Summer 09 collections that designers and manufacturers had to offer. Even with the difficult market conditions of late, the exhibition welcomed a good number of quality visitors through the doors, attracting over 3,760 unique visitors in total, 15.3% of them from overseas.
